HARTFORD - Entrepreneur magazine has named the technological entrepreneurship program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Lally School of Management & Technology one of the 25 best entrepreneurial programs in the U.S. The magazine's Top 100 Entrepreneurial Colleges & Universities is featured in the April edition. More than 700 entrepreneurship programs were researched for the rankings based on criteria including curricula, faculty, research, degrees/certificates offered and business-community outreach. (The complete list is available at www.entrepreneur.com/topcolleges.
With departments in Hartford and Troy, N.Y., Lally School programs are based on three principles: 1) Technology is becoming a primary source of competitive advantage in all industries; 2) the ability to convert technology to competitive advantage is a function of managerial practice; and 3) the conventional model of business education, isolated from technology, is obsolete.
