NEW HAVEN - Joel Anik, managing partner of Andersen's Hartford office, has announced that the firm has opened a new office in New Haven. The focus of the New Haven office is to provide financial, tax and advisory services to emerging technology and biotech companies. The new office is managed by Michelle Bowman, partner-in-charge of Andersen's Connecticut technology practice.
The New Haven area has become one of the country's most important areas for emerging technology companies, in large part because of the strong presence of Yale University as a technology incubator, said Anik. As one of the world's leading professional-services firms serving the technology sector, it is important for Andersen to have a major presence in the area.
Andersen's New Haven office is located in Audubon Court at 55 Whitney Avenue. It will serve technology companies in New Haven and along the coastline from Branford to Shelton.
