Schaffer Sells Quality Inn

NEW HAVEN - Schaffer Hotel Properties, a division of C.A. White, has sold the Quality Inn & Conference Center at 100 Pond Lily Avenue to Vipin and Renuka Chadha of New York, and their nephews, Anthony and Ajay Agras. According to published reports, the purchase price was $2.3 million. The buyers say they intend to convert the facility into an Econo Lodge Inn & Suites, which they will operate themselves. The Chadhas say they will consolidate some rooms into suites, reducing the overall room count to 111. Pru, Raveis, Pitt Top State Rankings Prudential Connecticut Realty has been names the No. 1 real-estate company in Connecticut for the 11th year running according to National Relocation & Real Estate magazine's "Top 750 Brokers Reports." In 2002 Pru Connecticut closed 11,314 transactions reflecting a record-breaking $3.58 billion in sales volume, according to the company. In terns of both units sold and dollar volume, Pru was followed in the state rankings by No. 2 William Raveis Real Estate and No. 3 William Pitt Real Estate.
