Church To Buy Out Adult Store Lease

MILFORD — The Kingdom of Life Christian Church intends to buy a 116 Bridgeport Avenue building that presently houses Video Pleasures, an adult video store. The store’s lease expires at year’s end, with an option to renew for three years. But church officials say their $245,000 purchase is the beginning of a campaign to buy out other pornography-related retailers in Milford. The July 22 announcement came two days before the scheduled opening of another adult store, the Penthouse Boutique, on Banner Drive off the Post Road.
