MILFORD — The Bagel Bar has opened at 1085 Bridgeport Avenue (that would be Route 1) in Milford, specializing in "old-school" hand-rolled bagels. The 1,300-square-foot store houses a new state-of-the-art kitchen. Co-owners are Joe Verdirame and Marlon Friedman, who hosted a grand opening celebration July 30 with Milford Mayor James Richitelli Jr. and sundry dignitaries. Open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Bagel Bar sells baked goods, appetizers, Boar’s Head cold cuts, salads, soups and more.
