Rifkin Travel Sells Out

| ANSONIA — Rifkin Travel Inc., which has been selling corporate and leisure travel services since 1959, has been acquired by the Milwaukee, Wisc.-based Adelman Travel Group, one of the 30 largest travel-management firms in the U.S. The deal marks the second Adelman acquisition in Connecticut this year: In January, Adelman purchased the Windsor-based Professional Travel Corp., which reported annual sales of about $20 million. Rifkin President and CEO David M. Rifkin will remain with the parent company as senior vice president, continuing to work from the Ansonia office. Rifkin Travel most recently reported annual sales of about $15 million.
