SHELTON Joe Crabtree of Shelton, owner of Crabtree Auto Park at 405 Bridgeport Avenue, has purchased the adjacent Shelton Mitsubishi dealership at 404 Bridgeport Avenue from Tom Mercer, also of Shelton. Mercer managed Shelton Mitsubishi for past 11 years as its dealership partner and has retired from the automotive business.
According to Crabtree, with this latest expansion, the dealership sells an average of 500 vehicles per month through four signature auto lines: Mitsubishi, Cadillac, Subaru and Kia. The dealership employs more than 250 employees on a 15-acre, park-like campus.
According to Joe Crabtree: "We recently changed our name from Crabtree Automotive to Crabtree Auto Park to more accurately reflect our new, broad selection of automotive choices. We have one of the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art, car care dealerships in Connecticut with our sales, service and body shops conveniently located in one beautiful, sprawling complex."
