NEW HAVEN - Jaylyn's Fried Chicken, 177 Park Street, opened its doors with a mission to provide wholesome quality food at affordable prices. Jaylyn owner T.J Milton plans to open six more restaurants in Connecticut. An additional New Haven location and one in Meriden are on the drawing board for next February. Traditional menu items include chicken and biscuit meal combinations, hot barbecue wings and crispy chicken strips. The eatery has even thrown in some new treats like the triple crunch or zinger sandwich, fried okra, yam sticks or sweet potato cheesecake pie. Diners can eat in (seating for 24) or take out (free delivery with a minimum order of $12).
