SHELTON - This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce's Gold Seal Awards. The Gold Seal honors outstanding and dedicated community service. Award recipients this year include Joseph Andreana, executive director of the Oxford Economic Development Corp.; William Dunlap, vice president of Tele-Media Co. of Western Connecticut; and Alexander Patuzzi, active board member of the Birmingham Group Health Services and its foundation.
For the 30th anniversary, the Valley chamber has added a Platinum Award, presented to two former Gold Seal recipients for their continued volunteer commitment to the Valley Community. Platinum recipients are: Raymond P. Lavietes, for his accomplishments with the Boys & Girls Club, the Shelton Economic Development Commission and the Valley United Way; and Irene Smith, for her many accomplishments including assisting in the creation of the Valley Advisory Council for the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
