| NEW BRITAIN - The Connecticut Energy Advisory Board (CEAB) has scheduled hearings on its draft state energy plan. Sessions will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on January 12 (in Bridgeport), January 13 (Hartford) and January 20 (Willimantic). CEAB is charged with developing a comprehensive state energy plan for submission to the General Assembly later this year. According to the group's chairman, Donald W. Downes (who also heads the state's Department of Public Utility Control): "The CEAB's goal is to present an energy plan for the state that fulfills and balances the multiple goals of providing for safe, reliable and diverse energy at a reasonable cost while ensuring that the plan appropriately reflects ongoing regional and national trends." CEAB also represents Connecticut in ISO New England's regional energy system planning process. Hearing locations and additional information is available at www.ctenergy.org or by calling 860-571-7147.
