FARMINGTON - The Connecticut Health Foundation has approved the awarding of $2.24 million to four collaboratives as part of a total of $3.3 million in overall funding at its mid-December meeting. Over the next four years of the five-year grant initiative, oral-health collaboratives in Danbury and Stamford were each awarded $600,000, while those in New Haven and Bridgeport were awarded $520,000 each.
In addition, the Connecticut Oral Health Initiative (COHI) will receive $180,000 over the next two years to continue oral health policy education and advocacy. And $500,000 over two years went to the Connecticut Center for Effective Practice (CCEP) to continue identifying and promoting evidence-based practice in the diagnosis and treatment of children with serious and complex emotional/behavioral disorders.
