Constance T. Donovan, MSN, RN, Yale-New Haven Hospital cancer clinical nurse specialist, has been honored by her alma mater, Boston College, with its Alumni Achievement Award for Health. She is an associate clinical professor at the Yale School of Nursing, chairs the hospital's Oncology Nursing Council and is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.

Laurence C. Morse has been elected to Webster Financial Corp.'s board of directors. He is co-founder and co-managing partner of Fairview Capital Partners Inc. in Farmington. Morse is a director and current chairman of the National Association of Investment Companies, a not-for-profit trade association representing 40 private equity and specialty finance investment firms. Morse earned his master's and doctoral degress in economics from Princeton.

Vincent Petrini has been named senior vice president for public affairs at Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH). He joins YNHH with experience in hospital communications as well as public affairs, government relations and marketing. Petrini served as chief public affairs officer for Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, managing external and internal communication programs for the hospital. He also worked as president and principal of Tactical Communications Group in Northbridge, Mass. and as director of communications and senior public information officer for the Regional Transportation Authority in Illinois. Petrini earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in communications from Northwestern University.

The Connecticut Army National Guard has promoted Shepard Stone, physician associate/anaesthesiologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital, to the rank of lieutenant colonel and state aviation medicine officer, responsible for the Army's 225 flight crewmembers in Connencticut. He will be principal advisor for aviation medicine issues, monitoring the aviation medicine program and coordinating preparations for the aviation resource management survey. Stone earned his master's degree in health-care administration from C.W. Post College.

Zeljan Schuster has been named dean of the University of New Haven (UNH) School of Business. He has served as interim dean since 2002. His post combines administrative and academic functions. Schuster joined UNH in 1990 and has worked in positions including associate professor, chair of the economics and finance department and acting dean. He earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in economics from the University of Belgrade.

Jennifer Aniskovich of Branford has been named executive director of the Commission on Arts, Tourism, Culture, History and Film (CATCH). She is a private consultant specializing in management and donor cultivation for arts enterprises in the New Haven area. Aniskovich previously served on the Connecticut Arts Commission and practiced non-profit law. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia School of Law.

Kristen Cellillie, RN., MSN, nurse educator for the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital pediatric emergency department, received the Connecticut Emergency Nurses Association education award. She was honored for creative and innovative approaches to work. Cellillie developed a multidisciplinary bi-annual education night and has worked in community outreach programs on child safety issues and healthcare careers.

Four employees of the state Department of Labor's research unit have been named to leadership positions in state and national economic workforce information organizations. Doreen LeBel, Mike Polzella and Lincoln Dyer have been reappointed to two-year terms on the policy and planning bodies of the Workforce Information Policy Council. Daniel Kennedy has been elected to a one-year term as president of the Hartford Area Business Economists.

The Great Connecticut Jazz Fest has announced the appointment of Fred Rossomando and Lee Walkup as co-directors of the "Horns for Kids" effort. They will administer the distribution of music support, scholarship funding and allocation of instruments to applicants of the program. Rossomando and Walkup are co-owners of Grace Recording Studios, a company that produces audio and video cassettes, compact discs and creates music productions.

The Bank of Southern Connecticut has named Kelly Brereton operations manager. Brereton, who has 15 years of banking experience, joined the bank in September 2002.

Ena Williams, R.N., patient services manager of Yale-New Haven Hospital's (YNHH) South Pavillion and Children's Hospital operating rooms, has been named interim nursing director of perioperative services. There she will be responsible for more than 200 employees, 37 operating rooms and express admission.

The Inn at Middletown has hired Dennis Brake as executive chef. He is a gold medal-winning team captain for the American Culinary Foundation Culinary Salon and author of The Ketogenic Cookbook. Brake opened the kitchen at Water's Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University.

Edmund F. Meyer has joined Weinstein & Anastasio, PC as a staff accountant. He has two years of public accounting experience. Meyer is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.

The Home Builders Association of Connecticut has named Bob Weidenmann Jr. winner of its 2003 Home Building Industry Award. He is president of Sunwood Development Corp. in Wallingford. Weidenmann received the award in the category of "Best Active Adult Home Over 2,000 Square Feet" for Harrison Greens in Wallingford.

The Connecticut Association of Realtors presented the Realtor of the Year Award for the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors to Stephen Press, co-owner of Press/Cuozzo Realtors. Press has been a Realtor since 1977 and earned designations including Graduate Realtors Institute, Certified Residential Specialist and Certified Residential Brokerage Manager. Press serves the association as a member of the board of directors of the education and scholarship foundation.

Janet Rumanoff has joined H. Pearce Co., Realtors as a residential sales associate. She has more than 15 years in the hospitality field including restaurant management. Rumanoff also worked in retail sales, where she provided marketing support.

H. Pearce Co., Realtors has announced Evangelio Franco as a residential sales associate in its New Haven office. He has experience in real estate mortgage and sales.
