The Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield has named Roger F. Sliby vice president for financial services and chief financial officer. He has more than 18 years of health-care financial-management experience, having most recently worked for St. Vincent's Medical Center (SVMC) in Bridgeport. Sliby is president of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, treasurer of the Walter Camp Football Foundation and president of the SVMC Employees Federal Credit Union.
Wright Investors' Service has named Paul Atkins senior vice president for distribution and service. He will lead sales, marketing and client service to institutions. Atkins is a registered principal and has more than 30 years of investment experience. Most recently he was managing director and CEO of PXP International, a global investment marketing and consulting firm owned by Phoenix Investment Partners Ltd.
The SARAH Endowment Foundation has hired Nancy Kyger as executive director. She is on the staff at the Center of Philanthropy at Indiana University through the Council on Foundations Center of Excellence. Kyger was principal of her consulting firm in Madison and worked as director of development and communications for the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
Odette Franceskino has been named director of law school financial aid at Quinnipiac University (QU) School of Law in Hamden. Franceskino has worked at QU for eight years, including three years director of graduate financial aid. She earned her M.B.A. from QU.
Simione Macca & Larrow LLP named Anne M. Mundinger director of audit services. She has more than 15 years of audit and consulting experience including six years with Pricewaterhousecoopers. Mundinger assisted the state's Department of Transportation and Public Works in claims litigation and worked as a consultant to the Department of Administrative Services. She earned her B.S. in accounting from C.W. Post University in Greenvale, N.Y.
The March of Dimes' Connecticut chapter has named David Fusco revenue chair for the Greater New Haven WalkAmerica. He is vice president of commercial accounts for Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield's Connecticut operations. Fusco will recruit corporate teams, sponsors and volunteers to participate in the event. He serves on boards including the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, Prevent Blindness Connecticut and Community Health Charities.
The board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House of New Haven named Janet Hanscom manager of house operations. She will oversee internal house operations and work with families, hospital referral sources and volunteers. Hanscom previously worked for Anthem Blue Cross and SBC SNET.
Teikyo Post University (TPU) in Waterbury has named Carrie Gibbs director of career services. She will develop and manage professional and career development programming. Gibbs is a nationally certified counselor and is pursuing her professional counselor licensure. She worked as a counselor at Mercy High School in Middletown, Fairfield University, Southern Connecticut State University and TPU.
Paula Feeney has been named director of business development for H. Pearce Co. Commercial Real Estate Services. Feeney has more than 20 years' real estate experience and most recently has worked as the company's director of business development for the relocation division.
Leggette, Brashears & Graham Inc. has named Alfred N. Kovalik a senior associate. As a licensed professional engineer in six states and a licensed environmental professional in Connecticut, Kovalik has experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of contaminated soil and ground-water recovery and treatment systems. Currently he is president of the Connecticut Society of Professional Engineers and is a member of the American Water Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The law firm of Tyler Cooper & Alcorn has elected associates Lisa Nachmias Davis, Robert C. Hinton, Michael McCormack and S. Peter Sachner to partner. Davis practices elder law, estate planning and probate, planning for those with disabilities and nonprofit organization law. Hinton practices commercial and insurance litigation, employment law and landlord tenant matters. McCormack practices civil litigation. Sachner practices malpractice and insurance defense, product liability, personal injury and commercial litigation.
Mattie A. Lilback has been named process/project engineer in the resins department at Cytec Industries' Wallingford facility. He will be responsible for directing process improvement programs and projects on productivity, quality and the environment. Lilback worked for the Crompton Corp. in positions including project manager and senior production engineer. He earned his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Candace Adams has been promoted to chief operating officer of Prudential Connecticut Realty (PCR). She will oversee the company's residential business and the southwest region of PCR offices. Adams has worked for PCR for more than ten years, most recently as vice president of operations. She has experience in sales, management and ownership.
Prudential Connecticut Realty has named Susan Rabinovitch vice president of new business development and relocation. She has experience in relocation and client services and has been marketing relocation services to corporations and educational institutions in Connecticut and neighboring states. Rabinovitch is a member of the Relocation Directors Council and the New England Relocation Association.
Press/Cuozzo Realtors has hired Jill Nathanson as a Realtor. She previously worked for Liz Claiborn in New York for five years and has experience in the social services field. Nathanson earned her B.A. at Tufts University.
Carolyn Abiad has joined William Orange Realty as a Realtor. She worked for a multinational corporation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and has experience in international relocation. Calcagni Associates has hired Doreen Strumpf as a residential sales agent. Strumpf has more than 18 years of sales experience, most recently working in New York City.
Maryann Galonczyk has joined the Beazley Co. as a Realtor. Galonconczyk received real estate training through Gateway Real Estate Academy and has completed the company's field training programs.
