SHELTON - Swiss Army Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: SABI) has opened its first retail store in New York. Swiss Army SoHo opened for business the week of October 29 at 136 Prince Street in New York's SoHo district. The Swiss Army Brands retail store houses 3,500 square feet in a former art gallery and one-time bread factory.
The opening of Swiss Army SoHo coincides with a period of great activity surrounding the brand. This year the company launched the Victorinox apparel. The two-year-old Victorinox Travel Gear collection, the company says, continues to enjoy solid growth. The company's core Swiss Army Watch business has been energized through extensive collection redesign. And Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knives & Tools continue to be a category leader and a model of innovation with the introduction of modern micro-electronics into the products.
