HARTFORD - Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) has announced plans to air the pilot episode of Make Me Rich, a new personal-finance program designed to address one of the nation's most pressing problems: financial illiteracy.
The new program, which will air on CPTV on April 28 at 2 p.m., will use a tried-and-true format - the money makeover - to teach viewers about all aspects of personal finance, from basic money management to complicated estate planning issues.
Make Me Rich is designed to provide real money advice for real people, said Larry Rifkin, senior programming executive for CPTV, in published reports. We intend to help viewers solve their financial problems and achieve their financial goals by matching their issues with qualified and competent advisors.
The pilot episode will also feature guest experts Barbara A. Comer, CFP of Comer & Greak Financial Consultants in New Haven and Diane Mull of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern New England.
