FAIRFIELD - During the Northeast Economic Development Association's 45th annual conference in Mystic, the Coastal Fairfield County Convention & Visitors Bureau was recognized with eight awards in the 2001 Literature & Promotion Awards category, including Best of Show. In addition, the CVB earned seven awards in the Tourism Brochure, Memento and Print Ad Campaign categories. Adds Richard Rapp, president of the CFCCVB's advertising agency, Greenwich-based Genova & Partners, “Our goal has been to capitalize on coastal Fairfield County's proximity to New York, while extolling its unique blend of cosmopolitan sophistication and New England charm - or, as we like to say, 'New England, only a whole lot closer.'”
