What its authors describe as the first-ever survey of the culture of Connecticut businesses regarding voluntarism and charitable giving will be conducted this fall by the University of Connecticut's Center for Survey Research and Analysis.
The 15-minute telephone survey, a project of the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy in partnership with the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA), the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC), local chambers of commerce and others, will collect information from 400 businesses across the state. The goal is to gauge the magnitude of the contribution Connecticut businesses make to their communities and to understand the underlying company cultures that vitalizes business giving in Connecticut. Aggregated results of the survey will be available this winter.
