FAIRFIELD - IMS HEALTH (NYSE: RX) and Planalytics Inc. jointly announced a strategic alliance to develop and market unique forecasting solutions to help pharmaceutical companies more accurately predict and fulfill demand for seasonal U.S. prescription products. Such advanced applications, to be marketed under the brand name Impact Health Rx, will improve pharmaceutical companies' ability to reach physicians and patients with timely and critical product information and prescription samples.
IMS Health provides information solutions to the health-care and pharmaceutical health-care industries. The Wayne, Pa.-based Planalytics is a supply chain planning and optimization technology company that forecasts weather-driven changes in supply and demand for products and services.
