Mercator Partners with Nestle SA

WILTON - Mercator Software Inc. (NASDAQ: MCTR) has been selected by Nestle SA to design and deploy the integration architecture for its Global Business Excellence initiative (GLOBE).
The purpose of GLOBE is to simplify Nestle SA's business-process architecture worldwide and achieve greater efficiencies in the company's critical information systems for financial reporting, purchase orders, inventory management, distribution, and sales volume monitoring.
Under the agreement, Mercator Integration Broker technology and Mercator services will help to integrate a variety of Nestle SA applications, including legacy, best-of-breed and SAP, in order to form the GLOBE template.
Said Mercator Chairman, CEO and President Roy C. King: “Nestle SA's GLOBE initiative, which is scheduled for completion in 2005, features one of the largest SAP deployments in the world, in addition to a vast number of legacy systems and IBM messaging technology. Mercator solutions bring it all together in the largest deal in our company's history.”
