WALLINGFORD - DNE Systems Inc. celebrated its 50th anniversary last month with a luncheon attended by some 200 employees, executives and retirees aboard a chartered Connecticut River cruise. Founded in 1951 as Stelma Inc. in Stamford manufacturing data and voice communications equipment, DNE today comprises two business divisions: DNE Technologies, which manufactures data communications products and aerospace control units; and DNE Contract Manufacturing & Services, which provides turnkey electro-mechanical assemblies to other manufacturers.
