ORANGE - Saxon-Kent, at 11 Old Tavern Road in the Fire-Lite Shopping Center, has taken over the space formerly occupied by the Classical Consignments, which relocated to 1770 Boston Post Road in Milford. The lingerie shop, now owned by Betty Golomb, has been in business since 1948. Starting out on Elizabeth Street in Derby, the shop moved to Orange 30 years ago. Golomb purchased the shop in 1999. The acquisition of the space next door has doubled the size of the shop and allowed space to increase the size of the fitting rooms.
“Part of our business,” says Golomb, “is doing customized work and fitting the hard-to-fit. All of our fitters are certified professionals.” Post-mastectomy fittings are part of the new services now being offered as a result of the expansion, and Golomb plans shortly to carry wigs.
