Praxair Announces China Facility; Teams With Panasonic, New Age

DANBURY - Praxair Inc. (NYSE: PX) announced the opening of a new helium transfill facility in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China.
The new facility will provide additional liquid helium capacity for dewars and gaseous helium for cylinders, storage receivers and tube trailers.
With an expected annual capacity of more than 30 million cubic feet, the facility will provide helium for markets including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), optical fiber manufacturing, semiconductor manufacture, welding, cryogenics, leak detection, controlled atmospheres and aerostats/lifting.
In other news, Praxair announced that its subsidiary Praxair Canada Inc. had formed an alliance with Panasonic Factory Automation Co. and New Age Robotics to provide a single source of robotics-welding solutions for the metal-fabrication industry in Canada.
