ROCKEY HILL - Connecticut United for Research Excellence (CURE) and Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CII) will unveil the state's new $3 million “BioBus” September 5 at Science Park in New Haven. The mobile, state-of-the-art, fully equipped biotechnology laboratory that will begin visiting Connecticut schools and communities later next month.
The goals of the project are to provide educators with current information, teaching techniques and hands-on experience in a biotechnology laboratory, and to generate student interest in bioscience using fun, relevant, hands-on, inquiry-based science experiments. The vehicle can accommodate 24 students and two instructors at a time.
