SHELTON - TranSwitch Corp. (NASDAQ: TXCC), a supplier of high-speed VLSI semiconductor solutions, has been ranked No. 1 in Fortune Small Business magazine's inaugural list of the 100 fastest-growing publicly held small businesses in the U.S.
Companies were ranked on three criteria: earnings growth, revenue growth and total stock return, including dividends for the year ended 2000. Rankings were then averaged to determine the fastest-growing companies. Eligible were public companies with $200 million or less in revenue for year 2000. In 2000, TranSwitch generated $155 million in sales.
