HARTFORD & STAMFORD - The Connecticut Technical Employment Report for the first quarter of 2001, released by RJS Associates, indicates that the overheating associated with last year's economy has subsided, but that in the big picture there is still strong demand for technical employees. Compared with the first quarter of 2000, RJS job orders were down 30 percent, revenues were down 18 percent and jobs filled were down 20 percent. However, there remains strong activity in the areas of construction, engineering, scientific research and development.
