(NASDAQ: ALXN) was awarded the 2001 Biotechnology Achievement Award for Applied Biotechnology from the Biotechnology Study Center at the New York University School of Medicine. Alexion scientists were awarded the honor for their work relating to the role of complement in cardiovascular and autoimmune disorders.
