Jack Hodes has been named executive chef at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale. Hodes learned and practiced his craft at such New York restaurants as Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Lipstick Café, Vong and Jean Georges, as well as at his own restaurant, Seascape, in Stratford. He leads the culinary department of the Omni New Haven, including the hotel's own restaurant, Galileo's.

Essex Savings Bank has named Patricia Kolbe of Old Lyme manager of its Essex Village branch. She replaces Linda Parrish, who was named information systems coordinator at the corporate office of Essex Savings Bank. Also, Ruth Loftus has been promoted to deposit services supervisor.

Brian F. Dreyer has been named executive vice president for commercial banking at People's Bank in Bridgeport. Dreyer will direct all commercial loan and commercial mortgage lending at the bank. Dreyer joined People's in 1991 as senior vice president, commercial lending. Previously Dreyer was executive vice president and senior lending officer at First Constitution Bank.

Wendy Seacord has joined Connecticut Computer Assistants, LLC in New Haven. A graduate of the Data Institute Business School, Seacord will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining class schedules, registration support, the IS training Web site and two training facilities.

Innovative Marketing Solutions of Wallingford has hired Linda Molinari as production manager/strategist. Molinari will oversee IMS' production environment and project-management group, as well as serving as a strategist on some accounts. Robert Kyerematen and Crystal Connor have both joined IIMS as graphic designers in its creative department. Also at IMS, Heather Carbone has been promoted to senior project manager, responsible for setting production schedules, overseeing resource allocation and monitoring project progress.

U.S. Trust Co. of Connecticut has named Mary Sherba Wall senior financial planner and vice president in its Stamford office. Wall will provide financial services to high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives and business owners. She specializes in personal financial planning and family wealth planning, and most recently was a vice president at J.P. Morgan Advisors.

Carl E. Dahlman III has been named environmental specialist at Cytec Industries' Wallingford facility, where he will assist and support plant operations to comply with environmental regulations and laws. Dahlman was previously employed as general supervisor in the milling and material control department at AC Molding Compounds, a joint venture with Cytec Industries.

DNE Technologies of Wallingford has named Harry Thomas director of sales. Thomas will be responsible for sales in both the commercial and Department of Defense markets. He was formerly employed at Timeplex, where he served as director, general manager and vice president of marketing. Thomas was previously sales manager at Entrata Communications.

M. Bruce Shields, M.D., of Yale-New Haven Hospital, has been named chairman-elect of the American Board of Opthalmology. Chief of opthalmology at YNHH and chairman of opthalmology and visual sciences for the Yale School of Medicine, Shields has been a director of the American Board of Opthalmology for six years. He will take over as vice chairman of the board in 2002 and chairman in 2003.

Susan M. Connor has been named assistant director of giving at Quinnipiac University. Connor will be responsible for planning and executing telemarketing programs for solicitating gifts from Quinnipiac alumni, parents and friends. Before coming to Quinnipiac, she was a clinical services associate at Anquillare, Lipnicki, Ruocco & Co. of West Haven.

Keith N. Costa has joined the law firm of Cummings & Lockwood as counsel in the creditors' rights group in the New Haven office. Costa will represent clients in the areas of loan restructuring, workouts, collections and bankruptcy. Previously he served 11 years with the Department of Justice as an assistant trustee for the Southern District of New York and as senior trial attorney in the U.S. trustee's office for the District of Connecticut.

Levey Miller Maretz Realtors in Woodbridge has added three Realtors to its staff. Glen Greenberg, previously general manager of the New Haven Hotel, is a five-year real estate veteran. John Friedlander brings 20 years of experience in consultative selling in the technology, communications and hospitality industries to his new position. Michael Gordon has been in real estate in greater New Haven since 1968, mainly in commercial and residential property management, construction and leasing, as well as commercial and investment sales.

Frank Campailla has been named university writer at Quinnipiac University in Hamden. He will be responsible for writing feature stories and profiles for the Quinnipiac Web site, www.quinnipiac.edu, and the university's alumni magazines, as well as writing and editing press releases. Formerly he worked for three years as a reporter for the Hartford Business Journal.

The law firm of Fazzone, Baillie, Ryan and Seadale of Cheshire has added a new associate, John C. Yanzo, who will practice real estate and land use law. He was graduated from Vermont Law School and admitted to the Connecticut bar.

Linda Richetelli-Pepe has been named vice president of marketing management for Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield East. Richetelli-Pepe joined Anthem BCBS in Connecticut in 1984 and held positions in customer service, account management and sales. For the past seven years she was director of major and national account sales.

DSL.net of New Haven has made two appointments to its senior management team. Walter R. Keisch has been named vice president of finance, where he will have responsibility for day-to-day financial operations of the company. Lucie A. Poulicakos, named vice president of customer service and support, will be responsible for all aspects of service operations, customer retention and relationship management. Poulicakos joins DSL.net from Covad Communications, where she was director of customer support.

Sr. Ann Casagrande has been named executive director of Saint Regis Health Center in New Haven, the Saint Raphael Healthcare System's (SRHS) skilled nursing facility. Casagrande has been with SRHS for 13 years and is a licensed nursing home administrator. She was previously coordinator of geriatric outreach at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford and was most recently acting executive director at Saint Regis.
