| MILFORD - Pier 1 Imports has moved into new digs at 98 Turnpike Square on the Boston Post Road. The plaza is also home to Hometown Buffet, Marshall's and Michael's arts and crafts retailer. Formerly the casual home furnishing retailer was located directly across from the Connecticut Post Mall. “We needed a bigger selling space and adequate parking,” said Mitchell Fusco, manager. According to the company's Web site, Pier 1 is America's largest importer of gifts and home furnishing, with annual net sales last year of over $1.4 billion. The new location sports 10,000 square feet of retail space.
