EAST HAVEN - MicroPatent, a subsidiary of Information Holdings Inc. and an online intellectual property information service, has announced two system enhancements: PatLink and the addition of U.S. patents back to 1836. Both are complementary to PatSearch FullText users, thereby enhancing search capabilities.
MicroPatent's U.S. full text database has been expanded to include patents 1 through 3,551,908, covering from 1836 to 1970. In addition, MicroPatent has added U.S. data from 1971 to 1975, as such filling in the gaps in missing information from the U.S. Patent & Trade Office. PatSearch FullText now offers complete U.S. patent coverage from 1836 to the present.
PatLink allows users to connect directly to patents listed or referenced in a source patent through the Patents Cited, PCT Publication Number and Related Applications fields. A red arrow in front of the record identifies patents to which a user may link.
PatLink and U.S. data back to 1836 may both be accessed as part of either a daily or annual MicroPatent PatSearch FullText subscription. In addition, the company will soon offer a U.S.-only full text subscription at an introductory rate of $495 annually. More information is available at http://www.micropat.com.
