SCM to Provide Canon with Imaging Device

GUILFORD - SCM Microsystems (NASDAQ: SCMM, Neuer Markt: SMY), will supply Canon U.S.A. Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc. (NYSE: CAJ) with its Microtech brand ZiO! digital film reader for bundling with the Canon S800 Color Bubble Jet Photo Printer.
By offering the CompactFlash ZiO! with the Canon S800 Color Bubble Jet Photo Printer, consumers will be able to speed up the digital photography printing experience, the company says. Use of the Microtech ZiO! will allow consumers to quickly and easily download images from their digital media to their computers and be ready for printing within seconds.
The Microtech ZiO! is a pocket-sized USB-equipped digital media reader, which offers high-speed transfer of data between digital devices and PC or Mac computers. The ZiO! is also available for Secure Digital/MultiMedia and SmartMedia digital memory cards.
