DERBY - Home Depot held a grand opening of its latest store, at 133 Main Street, Derby, on May 4. It is the 15th Home Depot store in Connecticut. The chain was founded by Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank in 1979 in Atlanta, Ga. Originally attached to Treasure Island stores, Home Depot operates in 46 states and seven Canadian provinces, Chile, Puerto Rico and Argentina. The new store, open daily, includes a garden center and tool rental center.
