Market/Deli Comes To Ninth Square

NEW HAVEN - For people who would like pick up a few groceries during their lunch hour, the Ninth Square Market & Deli has opened at 72 Orange Street. Owned by Raj Tala and Imad Jabbour, the Deli specializes in sandwiches and salads to go, New York bagels and breads and fresh pastries. They also carry dairy products, cold cuts by the pound and create platters for special events. The market includes a produce department with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The large, airy store includes some tables and chairs, placed on the sidewalk on warm days. The deli is open 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends.
