NEW HAVEN - Gguitars (not a misprint), a provider of custom and high-end guitars and basses, has opened a new 3,400-square-foot showroom at 153 East Street. The showroom is almost four times larger than the company's previous location on Audubon Street. Founded in 1999, Gguitars formerly shared a showroom with e-Hammer, an online auction site for antiques and collectibles, also owned by Gguitars owner Fred Giampietro. The new space, designed by Fletcher Cameron, a Guilford company specializing in modern design, includes a glass sound room and environmentally controlled acoustic room.
