The Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority (GBTA) will introduce a new bus - designed to look like a trolley car - to fill in service gaps between fixed routes. At a cost of 50 cents per ride, compared to the standard $1.10 bus fare, the trolley/bus will travel through downtown, stopping at tourist attractions such as the Barnum Museum, the Ballpark at Harbor Yard and the soon-to-be-completed sports arena. Set to begin July 30, the trolley/bus loop also will include stops at the Golden Hill Street courthouse and City Hall on Lyon Terrace, which now have no direct bus service.
