SCM Chooses Guilford

GUILFORD - SCM Microsystems Inc. has opened a new facility in Guilford. The new 70,000-square-foot facility at 20 Carter Drive is six times larger than the previous site at 242 Branford Road in North Branford and can accommodate an expansion of 20,000 additional square feet. SCM's new office will support retail operations for its Microtech and Dazzle brands, as well as infrastructure for distribution of OEM products.
The decision to operate many of the company's logistic functions out of Connecticut was made due to the site's proximity between the company's headquarters in California and Europe.
