STAMFORD - META Group Inc. has introduced what it calls the industry's first Web-based, business- and technology-focused “data economy” at www.Metricnet.com. Devised by META Group executive vice president Howard Rubin, Metricnet.com provides a full range of business and IT metrics designed to arm business and technology executives with the metrics they need to navigate the new economy. Central to Metricnet.com's data economy is a comprehensive data repository, built by Rubin and his research team, that spans more than six years of data-collection efforts. In generating near-real-time metrics, Metricnet.com relies on a network of 25,000 individuals in 8,000 companies across 50 nations - representing one of the largest benchmark databases of its kind, says the company.
