STAMFORD - Meta Group Inc., an information technology research and consulting firm, will lose two top executives and shed 15 percent of its workforce.
Meta will reduce headcount by about 100 jobs to about 595 workers, the company announced April 5. It also announced the resignations of company President Larry R. DeBoever and Peter Burris, co-research director and president and CEO of metagroup.com. While Meta searches for a new president, it will be run day-to-day by a special operating committee charged with reducing spending.
The workforce reduction is expected to trim expenses by some $10 million annually, the company said.
