Q Chamber Seeks Nominees

WALLINGFORD - The Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for its 2001 Athena Award, which celebrates the potential of women as valued members and leaders of the community, honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of professional accomplishment; and recognizes men who make it possible for women to succeed.
Nominees must assist women in reaching their full leadership potential; demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession; and provide valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community. Nominations for the award are due by April 27.
A selection committee of community leaders will review nomination forms. The awardee, who will be announced at the Quinnipiac Chamber's annual meeting and luncheon on May 25, will be invited too join the National Athena foundation, which works to create new leadership opportunities.
