Chamber Distributes Flood Aid

STRATFORD - In keeping with the Stratford Chamber of Commerce's goals of supporting business development and business retention in town, a Flood Assistance Fund was established to assist businesses impacted by the flood of last August 11. The fund raised over $16,000 and checks have now been distributed to the 24 businesses that applied to the chamber for asistance. Each business receiving a check also received a signed copy of the poster, “Sailing Ship Off Stratford Light.” Milton Bond, a local artist, painted the original and gave the chamber the rights to have the poster reproduced to aid in fundraising efforts. Graphic design for the poster was done by Andy Glad while lithography was done by Imperial Graphics.
