Marcum LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of two new partners in the New England practice. Heather B. Bearfield has been named Principal in the Assurance Services group at Marcum LLP. She is responsible for providing a wide-scope of IT assurance services including in-depth analyses of entire business systems, communicating with technical staff and managers to improve internal controls, and conducting IT Risk Assessments and valuations for information security strategies. Ms. Bearfield, who joined the firm in 2004, is the National Technology Assurance Services Leader and resides in the Boston office.
Matthew Bavolack has been named Principal in the Advisory Services group at Marcum LLP. Mr. Bavolack’s area of focus includes financial reimbursement, operations and compliance matters for various healthcare providers. He is the firm’s National Healthcare Industry Leader and has over 20 years of healthcare financial consulting experience. Mr. Bavolack is a member of numerous local and national healthcare associations including the Connecticut Association for Health Care Facilities, Connecticut Association for Not-for-Profit Providers for the Aged , and the Association for Long-Term Care Financial Managers. Mr. Bavolack joined the firm in 1997 and resides in the New Haven office.
