Gail F. Lieberman of Madison has been elected to the Regional Water Authority, the five-member governing board of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, the non-profit organization that provides water to about 500,000 people in the greater New Haven region. Lieberman began her term on January 1, 2012.
Lieberman has been a Chief Financial Officer for Fortune 500 companies including Thomson Corporation (Financial & Professional Publishing Division) and Moody’s Investor Service (D&B). She has both domestic and international operating and corporate finance experience in stand-alone as well as multidivisional companies. For the past five years, Lieberman has served as a Director for public and private companies. Currently, she is a Managing Partner at Rudder Capital LLC in Madison and serves on the board of directors of Dara BioSciences, Inc. and ICTS International N.V.
“Our goal centers on providing consumers with high quality drinking water and services at a reasonable cost while promoting the preservation of watershed lands and aquifers,” said Anthony DiSalvo, Chairperson of the Regional Water Authority. “Gail’s experience as a financial executive and a corporate director will help us achieve our goal of becoming one of the best in class utilities in water and related services delivery.
The three other members of the Regional Water Authority Board are Joseph A. Cermola of New Haven who is the Vice Chairperson, Richard G. Bell of Hamden and R. Douglas Marsh of Branford.
The South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority supplies water and related services in 15 communities in the region. It owns and protects over 27,000 acres of watershed land.
