(1888PressRelease) Jim Galm, Co-Founder, Vice President, and Chief Technical Officer of LayerZero Power Systems, Inc., has been selected as a Senior Institute of IEEE member.

 

Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH - Galm, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of LayerZero Power Systems, Inc., has been selected as a Senior Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) member. The grade of Senior Member requires experience reflecting professional maturity and significant professional achievements.

 

Jim Galm has contributed towards significant discoveries and advancements in the power distribution industry, having authored numerous patents, including LayerZero's Dynamic Phase Compensation Technology. Jim Galm has helped develop LayerZero Power System's line of power distribution products, including the company's Static Transfer Switches, Power Distribution Units, and Remote Power Panels.

 

The IEEE is the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology, only 8% of it's over 400,000 members have achieved senior grade. Senior Member is the highest grade for which IEEE members can apply. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

 

• Be engineers, scientists, educators, technical executives, or originators in IEEE-designated fields

• Have experience reflecting professional maturity

• Have been in professional practice for at least ten years

• Show "significant performance" over a period of at least five of years in professional practice.

 

Innovator of Power Distribution Products and Technologies

 

A life-long resident of northeast Ohio, Jim has been developing new products and technologies for over twenty five years. He earned BSEE, MSEE and Ph.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. His research interests have included antennas and millimeter wave propagation, electromagnetic field theory, signal processing, embedded software / hardware systems and high-reliability system design. Jim is a Registered Professional Engineer, licensed to practice in the state of Ohio, and holds numerous U.S. Patents.

 

When not in his lab (which is rare), Jim enjoys Amateur Radio (his FCC callsign is W8WTS), sailing, competitive shooting sports, farming, building anything and spending quiet time with his wife, Janis.
