MILFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PRESENTS
AWARDS AT THEIR 55th ANNUAL MEETING & AWARDS OF DISTINCTION
On January 27th, the Milford Chamber of Commerce presented 15 awards to Milford area businesses and members of the community at their 55th Annual Meeting and Awards of Distinction at Grassy Hill Country Club at Noon.
The following companies and individuals were honored for service to the Milford Chamber, business community and community in general:
BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
Robert Crabtree, Jr of Colonial Toyota received The Business Person of the year award. Robert received this award for the expansion of Colonial Toyota which has positively influenced the Milford business community.
HUMAN SERVICE AWARD
The Human Service Award was presented to Toni Dolan of Beth El Center. Toni has offered unselfish service, care and concern for people in need.
PUBLIC SECTOR AWARD
Rick George, City of Milford, Animal Control received The Public Sector Award. Rick was recognized as an individual working as a city employee who has demonstrated service beyond the expected.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD FOR A GROUP
The Community Service Award for a Group was awarded to Boys & Girls Club of Milford for their dedication and outstanding contribution to the youth of the City of Milford.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD TO AN INDIVIDUAL
Susan Patrick, Economic Development Commission received the Community Service Award. Susan is a recipient of this award for her outstanding contributions for the betterment of the Milford community.
CORPORATE AWARD
The Corporate Award was awarded to Milford Fabricating. They received this award as a good corporate citizen exhibiting commitment to the business climate of Milford through growth, expansion, inspiration and continued success.
DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR
The Director of the Year Award will be presented to a Director of the Milford Chamber who has shown outstanding leadership or vision in a specific area or overall has been consistent in his/her performance.
AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR
Charley Compton, Universal Business Supply received the Ambassador of the Year Award. Charley was the recipient of this award for his consistent and enthusiastic participation in the Ambassadors Committee.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD,
Sam Bergami, Alinabal Inc. was the 2009 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Sam received the award for his tireless work on behalf of the Milford business community.
MILFORD PROGRESS, INC. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AWARD
The Milford Progress, Inc. was presented to Show Motion Inc. for their commitment to the business climate and economic development of Milford.
Milford Chamber “Green” Award
The Milford Chamber “Green” Award was presented to Pilgrim Furniture City for their environmentally friendly business practices and theory.
