CPA Firm Gains New Talent, More Square Footage Send

Hamden/South Windsor, Conn. – (January 14, 2010) - - Henry, Raymond & Thompson, LLC, a full service public accounting firm serving clients in all disciplines and industries, recently welcomed three new team members and doubled its office space.

Now located at One Hamden Center, 2319 Whitney Avenue, Suite 5-D in Hamden and 1741 Ellington Road in South Windsor, the firm upgraded and increased size at both locations.

“As the director of a non-profit corporation that runs a public charter school, I have found the help and guidance from Henry, Raymond & Thompson’s entire staff invaluable as I navigate the regulations surrounding public and non-profit business accounting,” said Tim Dutton of Bridge Academy.

G. Martin Henry, founding partner of Henry, Raymond & Thompson, attributes the firm’s growth in challenging economic times to its breadth of services not commonly found at other small firms, ability to service clients statewide, and their steadfast and enthusiastic commitment to customizing each engagement to suit the specific needs of the client: “We are pleased to welcome three new team members who will benefit our clients with their experience and will help to further energize and grow our company.”

Darin L. Offerdahl, MBA, CPA, of Cheshire, CT joined as an audit and accounting principal with Henry, Raymond & Thompson, LLC and leads the firm’s audit practice. Offerdahl has nearly 18 years of experience providing audit, accounting and advisory services to non-profit, governmental and privately held middle market and emerging companies. Most recently, Offerdahl worked for Alexion Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded biotech, as their Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Regis University and received his Bachelors degree in accounting from Southern Connecticut State University.

Jonathan D. Degnan, MBA, of Milford, joined the firm as an audit and accounting supervisor and has over six years of experience providing audit and accounting services to not-for-profits, municipalities and privately held middle market organizations. Prior to joining the firm, Degnan began his career with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP firm supervising audit teams and auditing the financial statements of a wide range of clients. Degnan earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Quinnipiac University and his Master of Business Administration from Southern Connecticut State University.

Engna Jessie Caraccioli, of Kensington, CT joined Henry, Raymond & Thompson, LLC as an accountant/bookkeeper. Caraccioli has a background in financial analysis, customer service and data entry. Most recently, she worked as an earned value management systems analyst for Pratt & Whitney, a Division of United Technologies. Caraccioli holds a B.S. in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College.
