BRIDGEPORT — Housatonic Community College’s Industrial Technology associate degree program will be the focus of a January 14 workshop at the college. Taking place from 4:30 to 6 p.m., the session will focus on emerging trends and current practice in lean manufacturing as well as HCC’s industrial technology program itself. The discussion of lean manufacturing will focus on cutting-edge practices to reduce waste, reduce defects, help an organization adopt a continuous improvement culture, increase flexibility in the manufacturing process, and empower employees to learn from their mistakes and improve their skills.
HCC will offer the first and second courses in the Industrial Technology program — CAD Mechanical AutoCAD and Manufacturing Processes — next semester.
