usnewsConnecticut colleges have made a what can best be described as a “so-so” appearance on the US News and World Reports Review of Online College Education Programs.

UCONN’s non-MBA Graduate programs fared the best of all schools in the state with a sixth place ranking nationwide, tied with Florida State University, Villanova University of Villanova PA, earned the number ranking in the category.

UCONN’s online Nursing Program was ranked #72, UCONN does not offer an online MBA program.

The online business graduate programs had 238 students in the 2016- ‘17 school year and cost per student credit was $825 in an out of state.

 Quinnipiac University in Hamden which does have an online MBA program was ranked #61 for its MBA program and #35 for it online Business Graduate Programs [excluding MBA]. Quinnipiac charges $925 per credit for the online programs and had a total enrollment of 455 students for the Graduate Business Programs and 323 for its online MBA

Post University in Waterbury has the largest number of online students, showing 10,104 for its online Bachelor Programs which are ranked at #165 nationally and have a per credit cost of $570.

The school’s non-MBA Graduate Business Programs came it at #83 and had 60 students paying $625 per credit. The MBA program ranked at #157 and had 420 students and a cost per credit of $720.

Post’s Graduate Education Program had 183 students and was ranked #157 overall and had a cost of $570 per credit.

The University of Hartford had 349 students in its online MBA program which had a national ranking of #196, the cost per credit for the MBA program was $695. The Graduate Business Program [non-MBA] had 98 students and was ranked #120-158 the last ranking on the list and shared by 38 colleges.

New Haven’s Albertus Magnus had 295 students enrolled in its Online Bachelor program ranked at #222 at a cost of $543 per credit.

Online Graduate Business Programs [non-MBA] was ranked #120-#158 and had 147 enrollees at a cost of $902per credit. The Online MBA Program had an enrollment 201 students and the program cost $902 per credit and was ranked 205-267 the last ranking shared by 62 colleges.

Sacred Heart University in Fairfield had the top ranking in the state for its Online Bachelor's Programs, #41 nationwide and its Online Graduate Nursing Programs came it at #61 also the best in Connecticut. The Online Nursing Program 978 enrolled students was the highest enrolment of any Online Nursing Program in Connecticut. Both programs were $690 per credit.

The University of New Haven, in West Haven was listed for one ranked program Graduate program in Criminal Justice, with a ranking of #31 in the country out of 70 schools. The number of enrolled students was not reported, the cost per credit was $690.
