Family entertainment center opens in Hamden

HAMDEN — Monkey Joe’s, a popular inflatables-filled indoor play and party center has opened at 35 Marne Street. Local residents and franchisees Sonny and Krishna Desai and Reshma and Amit Patel opened the 16,000-suare-foot facility in late August.

“I am thrilled to open Monkey Joe’s in Hamden,” explains Sonny Desai, owner of Hamden’s Monkey Joe’s. “It’s rare to find a family-friendly destination that provides both enjoyment and exercise for kids.”

With a main play center filled with wall-to-wall inflatable and a separate “Mini Monkey Zone” for toddlers three and under, Monkey Joe’s is targeted at kids 12 years old and younger. In addition, Monkey Joe’s will offer more than 20 arcade games as well as snacks and beverages.

The facility also provides party packages, group sales and fundraising opportunities. For the grownup set, Monkey Joe's provides a parent lounge with comfortable seating, computer stations with free, high-speed Internet access and a flat screen TV.

“There is something for every member of the family at Monkey Joe’s,” explains Desai. “According to the CDC, the recommended amount of exercise a child should get per day is 60 minutes. At Monkey Joe’s, children can engage in that much-needed physical activity while parents can socialize in a space that is not only in clear view of their children, but relaxing as well.”

There are currently 57 Monkey Joe’s franchise locations nationwide.

The Hamden location is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily (until 8 p.m. Sunday). To learn more phone 203-230-9922.
