The building, a mix of office and multi family units, is at the gateway to Yale University at the corner of Orange and Trumbull Streets.
Steven Inglese, principal of the New Haven Group Inc., represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer was represented by Ken Ginsberg of RLWD Commercial [Real Living Wareck D'Ostilio].
The Italianate style building was originally built in 1875 as a home for William Henry Brewer, a "famous botanist and explorer of his time." The building was subsequently renovated for office use along with multi family apartments in the 1970’s and is 6300 total square feet.
This building is 3 Floors however the 2nd floor is offices and 1st and 3rd are apartments, with three, two bedroom apartments and two office suites. There are also 16 on site parking spaces.
One block from the property, the neighborhood is undergoing significant expansion, with Spinnaker Real Estate’s $75 million development that includes over 260 apartments and retail.
