NEW HAVEN — Independent investment-banking firm Cronus Partners LLC has relocated from Norwalk to the Long Wharf Maritime Center at 555 Long Wharf Drive.

Concurrently the firm, which also provides financial advisory services to its clients, is opening an additional office in Boston’s State Street financial district while relocating its Connecticut operations to New Haven.

"Our relocation to New Haven reflects the fact that many of our clients in Connecticut are located between Hartford and New Haven rather than around Stamford, and we are better situated not only to serve them but also to support Boston from New Haven," said Jeffrey S. Rubin, managing director of Cronus.

"Expanding Cronus and establishing a local presence in the Boston market will enable us better to meet our clients' needs by providing greater access both to companies and institutional investors in this major technology and investor center," added Alan J. Canzano, managing director of Cronus. "We have so much contact with these groups already that it made sense to put people in Boston on a permanent basis."

Primary coverage of technology at Cronus will now be managed out of Boston, while primary coverage of other industries, including manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and environmental products and services, will be from New Haven.
