MERIDEN — Fred Tilden, MD, medical director of the Emergency Department at MidState Medical Center, has received the Phil Stent Award from the Connecticut chapter of the College of Emergency Physicians. This annual recognition, now in its 17th year, honors a physician who exemplifies professional attitude and who has made contributions to further emergency medicine in Connecticut. Tilden was honored for his contributions to the field, as well as his dedication and leadership and for serving as an inspiration to younger generations of emergency medicine physicians.
